Vineyard/Orchard Mapping and Surveying

At AgroVision

We offer state-of-the-art drone mapping and surveying services specifically designed for vineyards and orchards. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we provide detailed insights that help you enhance productivity and efficiency.

Our services enable you to maximize yields, make the best use of your resources, and address potential issues before they affect your bottom line. With AgroVision, you're not just getting data; you're gaining the tools and intelligence needed to ensure the long-term success of your operation.

Vine & tree Health Monitoring

Healthy crops mean higher yields. Our drones are equipped with multispectral and thermal cameras that detect issues invisible to the naked eye. Using the latest in imaging technology, we analyze plant health through NDVI and other indices, identifying water stress, nutrient deficiencies, and disease early, so you can address them promptly.

Early Pest & Disease Detection

Stop problems before they spread. With regular drone surveys, we identify pest infestations and disease outbreaks early, allowing for swift, targeted interventions. Protect your vines and trees with precision monitoring and reduce losses from preventable issues.

Orthomosaic Maps

Drones can generate orthomosaic maps, which are detailed, georeferenced aerial images stitched together from multiple photos. These maps provide an accurate overview of the vineyard or orchard, allowing for precise measurement of distances, areas, and perimeters.

How it works

 Drone Flight and Data Capture

Our drones, equipped with multispectral cameras, are flown over your vineyard or orchard. These cameras capture high-resolution images in multiple wavelengths, including visible red and near-infrared (NIR) light, which are essential for NDVI analysis.

 Image Processing

Once the flight is complete, the captured images are processed using specialized software. The software calculates NDVI values by comparing the amount of NIR light reflected by the plants to the red light they absorb. This calculation is done for every pixel in the image, creating a detailed map of vegetation health.

NDVI Map Creation

The processed data is used to generate an NDVI map, which visually represents the health of your crops. The map typically uses a color gradient, where areas of healthy, vigorous vegetation appear in green, while areas of stress or poor health are shown in red or yellow.

Analysis and Action

The NDVI map provides actionable insights into the condition of your vineyard or orchard. You can identify specific areas that require attention, such as sections needing more water, nutrients, or pest control. By targeting these areas, you can take timely actions to improve crop health and optimize yield.

Early Detection of Stress and Disease

can reveal stress factors in plants before they become visible to the naked eye. Whether it’s due to drought, nutrient deficiencies, or early signs of disease, NDVI helps you identify these issues early, allowing for timely intervention

Plant Growth and Development

Regular NDVI assessments throughout the growing season provide valuable insights into how your plants are developing. You can track changes in vegetation health over time, helping you to make informed decisions about pruning, thinning, and harvesting.

Impact of Management Practices

After implementing new practices or treatments, NDVI allows you to assess their effectiveness by comparing plant health before and after the intervention. This feedback loop helps you refine your approach for even better results.
