What is NDVI?
NDVI is a numerical index that uses remote sensing technology to measure the health of vegetation by comparing the difference between near-infrared (NIR) light and visible red light reflected by plants. Healthy, robust vegetation reflects more NIR light and absorbs more visible red light, resulting in higher NDVI values. Conversely, stressed or unhealthy plants reflect less NIR light and more red light, leading to lower NDVI values.
